International Conference on 'Terrestrial Systems Research: Monitoring, Prediction and High Performance Computing'
The Transregional Collaborative Research Centre 32 (TR32) and the Centre of Excellence High-Performance Scientific Computing in Terrestrial Systems (HPSC TerrSys) will organise a Conference on "Terrestrial Systems Research: Monitoring, Prediction and High Performance Computing" from Wednesday April 4 to Friday 6, 2018 in the main building of the University of Bonn.
SAGES-training: Employability after a PhD - free places for Geoverbund ABC/J members
The Scottish Alliance of Geoscience, Environment & Society (SAGES) - network partner of Geoverbund ABC/J - is offering up to five places for Geoverbund ABC/J post-graduates at this autumn's SAGES Graduate School Retriet in Aviemore. This years’ focus is on enhancing employment skills after a PhD. It will also be a good opportunity for meeting SAGES students and enjoying some Highland hospitality! The course and accommodation is provided by SAGES whereas Geoverbund ABC/J students need to fund their own travel to and from Scotland.

1st ABC/J Expert Talk 2017 - Register now!
"International Comparison of Nitrogen Pollution of Water Resources & Management Strategies" is the title of the 1st ABC/J Expert Talk, which will take place on 29 and 30 November 2017 in Cologne. At the ABC/J Expert Talk, national and international experts will present examples of the current situation with respect to nitrogen pollution in Germany, selected EU Member States, and California. On this basis, both existing and planned nitrogen management strategies will be presented by the speakers. The focus will be placed on nitrogen reduction measures for agriculture, e.g. for implementing the European Union’s Water Framework Directive and Nitrates Directive.
